It's one of your readers Gabrielle (I comment as Lady G) again.
I'm actually here for a matter that angers me. I'm very serious about issues concerning women and our rights as women, so this particular situation upsets me.
Following the whole AY drama and his alleged wife beating scandal, the kind of stand our Nigerian men have taken just saddens me. It's clear that they do not know how to treat and value a woman, and just see us as something to control and always make sure is in order.
I came across a particular comment on the matter and it enraged me! A man is trying to say that we women are the cause of violence against us. I think we need to start discussing domestic violence very seriously again and let these young boys growing up know that it is not okay on any level, and it is surely not okay to come out and place such a blame on a woman you know nothing about simply because you feel it is a man's world.
