This is so disheartening. Why is corruption so ingrained in our DNA??
A tweeter shared this photo of cereal donated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to IDPs - on the shelf of a shop in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.
Some people who have no conscience or fear of God are reselling the food meant for the refugees. It reminds me of the victims of the 2012 floods in Delta state who bitterly complained that the relief materials meant for them never reached their hands. I also recall the recent dismissal of a principal in Kaduna state because he was caught diverting baskets of fruits meant for the children's free lunch.
Lets not even talk about those ones at the helm of government.
Why, for goodness sake are some Nigerians so corrupt?? How do they sleep at night?
