On Friday morning, youths attacked and looted the Delta City Mall (popularly called Shoprite). They vandalised properties and carted away valuable goods.
According to eyewitnesses, the security at the Delta mall fled when they saw the number of youths and the police only arrived the scene after the havoc had been done.
The shops in the mall have remained close and the premises is quiet.
