Edo State speaker and his deputy impeached, youth takes to the street for violent protest

The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Honourable Victor Edoror and his Deputy were on Tuesday removed from office through impeachment.

Fifteen (15) lawmakers of the 24-member House impeached the two principal officers over allegations of incompetence and high-handedness.After their impeachment, the members elected Mrs Elizabeth Ative as the new Speaker.

According to Hon. Omosede Igbenidion, the youths have taken to the street and protest is turning violent
