At Hypestation Nigeria, we are poised to support entrepreneurs and successful people who impact their communities in various ways. The women are not left out in this as they are key players we selected our 10 outstanding and aspiring young women in South-south Nigeria’s fastest emerging big city, Uyo.
The compiled list is in two categories, the Outstanding and the Aspiring. Outstanding features women who have weathered the storm and carved a niche in their various fields of endeavor and remain focused to emerge society icons that other younger ones aspire to be like.
For the Aspiring group, the list is made of though younger women that have small businesses, pursuing other career paths and are exceptional in their work, even at budding level and also have created considerable impact, even amongst their peers.
Outstanding
Mmanti Umoh
She Is an amazing business woman. She has single handedly pioneered Purple Patch consulting and training service corp from the scratch to a success level where it is today.
Purple Patch is an image consultant and idea developing firm, which has helped in promoting and maintaining the public image of several top Nigerian and International brands.
Nsikak Benson – Netima
The brand name ‘Netima’ rings a bell from the length to the breath of south-south Nigeria where ever it is being mentioned.
She had quit her banking job to pursue a fashion career, making her undoubtedly one of the finest female Entrepreneur-extraordinaire who has carved a niche for herself over the years.
This entrepreneur known as Nsikan Benson, is the CEO of The Netima Design and Beauty Academy (NDBA), a Fashion Design and Beauty Training School.
Joyce Daniels – Talkademy (A/I) done
Joyce Daniel is a professional compere, founder and CEO of Talkademy Training and finishing school for Master of Ceremonies.
She is ranked amongst the top 10 event comperes in Nigeria, hosting long list of high-profile events, and has also trained and raised many comperes under her Talkademy school.
Cleo Tao – On Air Personality
Cleo Tao has been phenomenal on the radio with her fast paced talk, top-notch delivery and amazing voice behind the microphone while reaching out to millions through the airwaves.
Her career spans over 15 years with a major part of it at Rhythm Fm studios in Lagos, Port-Harcourt and then Benin.
Rhoda Nduesa
It takes guts and courage, especially for a young woman to come out of her comfort zone to launch herself out to the creative contemporary world as an entrepreneur.
Rhoda Nduesa, started way back as a graphics designer/page planner for an Uyo-based lifestyle magazine and later on, created her online lifestyle news platform, www.rhodiesworld.com.
Aspiring
Enwongo Cleopas
Despite her tight schedule as Lawyer, she continues to find time to influence her world positively. Enwongo Cleopas, a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court is a thorough bred and quintessential writer, poet, strong advocate of Feminism and violence against women.
DJ Ritzy, Female DJ
Ritzy is the first female Disc Jockey and currently the Vice President of Deejay’s Association of Nigeria in AkwaIbom, releasing a couple of excellent mixtape materials for her teeming online fan base.
Nseabasi Valentine, TV Personality (A) done
Nseabasi Valentine is a renowned television personality that brings lots of energy and humour to the microphone business.
Over the years, she has been able to carve a niche for herself and becoming a household name, she has worked with several media houses and has also hosted over numerous events as a compere and still counting.
Emem Brownson, App Developer
Emem Brownson is the Founder/CEO of AfroPot and the Manager, Women Techmakers, AkwaIbom State Chapter.

When it comes to bead making and Gele tying in the city of Uyo, the name Dache Pearls never fails to popup. Glory Udom, the graduate of Microbiology from the University of Uyo has been in the business for over two years, training over 127 young men and women to acquire both skills.
