Friday Anyim, the suspect is one of the sons of Anyim Samuel Ogbonna but from another wife out of the three wives and was allegedly having an issue with the elder sister over a request to sell a GP Tank and raise money for him out of which he can get to buy a motorcycle for okada business in the community.
It was gathered that this did not go well hence a fight broke out between the suspect and the elder
sister.It was further gathered that the suspect picked an axe to be used on the elder sister when suddenly the deceased wife of Anyim Samuel Ogbonna and identified as Bennedeth Anyim intervened to save the situation and the axe allegedly got her on the neck and she fell down and became unconscious.
The suspect on seeing what happened took to his heels, abandoning the axe. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment where she, Benedeth was confirmed dead and consequently deposited at Awgu District Hospital Mortuary for Autopsy.
Meanwhile,the suspect Friday Anyim is now with the operatives of the Homicide section of the state criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department of the Enugu state command of the Nigeria Police Force where he is helping the operatives in their investigations.
Friday Anyim the suspect is now regretting his action as he blamed the situation on the activities of weeds suspected to be indian hemp which he does smoke and however prayed God to forgive him.
