Police stage daring rescue of lifeless woman only to find out she's a sex doll (photo)

Police were left embarrassed after they staged a daring rescue of a "lifeless woman" - only to find out it was a sex doll.

Officers were responding to a report from neighbours who were concerned of a woman who had been standing still for a prolonged period of time.

The team, in Amsterdam, who attended the call said they witnessed a woman dressed in her underwear from outside, but when they rang the doorbell she would not answer.

When they broke down the door, they said on a Facebook post that they "indeed found a lifeless
woman," but she was "made of plastic and filled with air" as she was a sex doll.

Police say that they moved the doll away from the window to prevent any future confusion.

Friends kidnap Babcock graduate in a bid to extort her parents

A fresh graduate of Babcock University, Justina Anochie was kidnapped by her friends that wanted to make money off her parents.

According to Punch, Anochie, who completed her nursing course in May, graduated from Babcock University in June 2016 returned to her off-campus residence at Ilishan, where she was abducted on Sunday around 9pm.

The case was reported at the Ikenne Police Division and was later transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
It was gathered that the kidnappers, who had contacted the family, demanded the payment of N10m as ransom but the money was later reduced to N5m after negotiations.

The victim’s sister, Mrs. Judith Nze, said that efforts to persuade the suspects to take N300,000 had been futile.

She added that the kidnappers were threatening to kill her (Justina) if the family did not withdraw the case from the police.

She said, “She has finished her programme in the school and was just waiting for some clearance. I learnt that the place she stays is isolated.

“She was taken on Sunday and since then we have all lost our peace. I have stopped going to the office because I can’t concentrate.

“Initially, we thought it was a joke until the kidnappers contacted us and demanded N10m as ransom. They later reduced it to N5m.

“They have refused the N300,000 we offered them, insisting that they would kill her if we don’t pay the money.

“They also said we must withdraw the case from the police as a condition for her release.

“My mother spoke with her this morning (Thursday) and she did not sound good. We are afraid they might harm her.

“We are just appealing to them to release her.”

A police source, however, said investigations had shown that the victim was kidnapped based on information from an insider.

The source explained that a female undergraduate of a university in Lagos State had been linked with the abduction.

She said, “It was an organised crime. Based on preliminary investigations, it appeared that her friends conspired against her. It was a set-up.

“We believe the kidnappers think that her parents are wealthy and they could make money from them. A female student of a school in Lagos has already been arrested.”

The spokesperson for Babcock University, Mr. Joshua Suleiman, said the victim was no longer a student of the school.

He said, “She graduated from the school in June. She is no more our student. We got the information just like you did that she was abducted. We don’t know beyond that.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident.

He also confirmed that a suspect had been arrested in connction with the abduction.

He said, “The incident happened on Sunday. Immediately we learnt of the abduction, we started investigations. We have already arrested a suspect and investigations are ongoing.”

We will rather die than allow Ogah’s inauguration as governor — PDP

The Abia chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that it will resist any attempt to inaugurate, Sampson Ogah, as the new governor of the state.

The party made the resolution and declaration at the end of its emergency meeting in Umuahia on Thursday.
“We are ready for them, we are ready to die,” the party said, adding, “If they do it, then they are inviting anarchy and confusion in the state.
The state Chairman of the party, Johnson Onuigbo, accompanied by members of the executive
committee, said the party got wind of a plan to flood the state with military personnel.

Mr. Onuigbo said such an invasion would trigger off anarchy, adding that the party was poised for showdown over the planned inauguration.

He described the judgment of the Federal High Court, Abuja, which ordered that Mr. Ogah be sworn in as “a rape of democracy.”

The court, presided over by Justice Okon Abang, on Tuesday ordered Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to vacate office as governor over the case of tax evasion.
Justice Abang also ordered that Mr. Ogah, who came second in the PDP primaries, should be sworn in as the governor.

Mr. Ogah was also issued the Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja on Thursday.

The PDP chairman, however, said the judgment and issuance of Certificate of Return to Mr. Ogah had undermined the peace and tranquillity enjoyed in the state.
“Abia is not safe. I didn’t want to believe the rumour that the state will soon be invaded by the army because this is not a war zone.
“We want to inform the world that there is tension in Abia because democracy is about to be raped.
“As a party, we will resist any move by anybody to undermine the peace in the state,” Mr. Onuigbo said.
He said that as a law-abiding state, the government had obtained an exparte injunction “restraining the state Chief Judge or any other judges from swearing in Mr. Ogah as governor”.
“We are ready for them, we are ready to die,” he said, adding, “If they do it, then they are inviting anarchy and confusion in the state.
“We are in a democracy so we want the world to hear and know that we are being shortchanged in Abia,” he said.
Mr. Onuigbo said the party had sent emissaries to Mr. Ogah to persuade him “to sheath his sword and allow peace to reign in Abia” to no avail.

He said that at the end of the current crisis, the party would mete out sanction to Mr. Ogah for disregarding entreaties from the chieftains of the party.

Ghanaian goes missing after attending TB Joshua's church in Lagos

A Ghanaian, Dotse Darekey has reportedly gone missing after he came to Nigeria for special prayers at TB Joshua's church in Lagos State Nigeria.

According to Punch, the 59-year-old Dotse, who worked in an oil company in Accra, Ghana, had come to Lagos to attend a prayer programme at the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Ikotun.

He was said to have arrived Lagos in the company of a friend Don Emmanuel on Thursay May 5th. They were reported to have lodged at a hotel in the Ikotun area.

It was learnt that the duo had gone for a service at SCOAN and were walking out of the auditorium,
when the engineer got lost in the crowd and is yet to be found.

Narrating what happened to Punch, his friend Emmanuel said he had assumed that Dotse had decided to return alone to Ghana, until he (Emmanuel) was called on the telephone by Dotse’s family members that they had yet to see him.

He said:
“This is my second time in Lagos. I am a SCOAN member in Ghana. I come to Lagos for prayers. Dotse and I came to Lagos on May 5 and we checked into a hotel not on the SCOAN premises.
“We had been going for several prayer sessions. On Sunday, after the church service ended, there were a lot of people coming out. In that process, I discovered he was no longer with me. I went back into the building to check, but he was not there. He was not with a mobile phone.
“I alerted some of the church ushers, who said nobody was found. I thought that he had taken another route and gone to the guest house. I got to the hotel, but he was not there as well.
“There was little SCOAN could do since it was not their guest house we lodged in. I went to the police station on Monday and reported the matter. The police took my statement. But since May 9, neither I nor his family members in Ghana have got any update.
“He did not return to Ghana because his family members called me that he had not returned. The Ghanaian High Commission is also aware of this incident.”
The engineer’s younger brother, Jacob Dzrekey, said that the family members in Ghana were distraught, urging the police to investigate the case.

He said:
“He has three children. He had some challenges and he came for special prayers. But nobody has seen him ever since then.
“The family members are distressed. His company in Accra has been communicating with us to use all channels in Lagos to get him back.”
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, adding that the family had not reported back at the police station.

She said:
“The Ghanaian had some mental challenges and was brought to SCOAN for deliverance. He, however, escaped to an unknown destination. The complainant dropped the victim’s picture and left with a police extract. Ever since then, they have yet to report back at the station.”
A member of the SCOAN media team, Patrick Iwelunmor, said the church authorities would meet over the matter on Friday (today) and get back to Punch's correspondent.

He said:
“I just heard about this incident. The church authorities have been given your contact. They will get back to you after meeting on Friday.”

I wept, fasted before God gave me Osinachi – Humble Smith

Ekene Ijemba, the artist popularly known as Humble Smith has revealed he wept and fasted before God gave him his hit song, Osinachi, which has become a sort of national anthem.

Humblesmith told TheSun in a new interview:
Before Osinachi, I had about four singles. I had a feeling that I was going to be a star because I have worked hard. Nothing was actually working for me after those singles. I even had to travel to London to shoot two music videos. So, at a stage, I was confused if the thing I have been doing was the right thing for me.
One day, I went to church; I fasted and prayed but it was as if nothing was happening. Some people advised me to go back to the east, to go back to the village that there was no room for me in Lagos; and that music wasn’t my career. So, I went to church on this fateful day, I went to pray but ended up not praying. I was just thinking.
At a point, I began to cry and then something just came to my mind, that ‘young man, you are here crying, wasting your time. When you are supposed to be out there hustling, creating good songs, you are here crying and complaining, when you have hands, legs, brain and everything. Stop complaining and appreciate God for the little He has done for you, let Him know you still appreciate Him and use what He has blessed you with to encourage people’. It was good news to me.
So, I thought about doing something different from what I have been doing. I wrote the song, Osinachi, there in the church, came back home and told my producer, who produced the song featuring Phyno. The song went viral. Thank God for that. I never knew God had bigger plans.
At the beginning of the year, Davido called me to do a remix of the song. But meanwhile, last year when I dropped the song, I personally took it to Davido. I gave him my CD and he said that he has been seeing my work and that the song was going to be a hit, and finally the song became a hit. So, he called for the remix. God bless Davido. Today, Osinachi is one of the biggest songs in Africa if not the biggest.

  • In the song, you talked about your ‘loving daughter’; do you have a child?

I don’t sing for myself, my music is for everybody. I sing songs that when you listening to them, you can also sing them to yourself as if they are your songs. I don’t have any child. I said ‘I go name my first daughter, Osinachi’. So, for those of you who have kids out there, you can name your first daughter Osinachi. But if you don’t have and you plan to have, you can say ‘I go’ which is what I said. Maybe, my first daughter would be named Osinachi by God’s grace.

  • What do you think about Davido bringing his personal issues into the song?

That’s music for you, that is the way I understand music. For example, I told you about my story, what I went through that gave me inspiration for Osinachi, and how I poured out my anger, my experience, and my feelings into the song. I told you that I fasted and prayed, went to church crying and something came to my mind, telling me that I was wasting my time, when I was even better than many people in the street. That is being creative. It is not easy to recreate what is happening around you into music. Music is not all about I can sing, music is business; you need to make it commercial, something that would make people talk about it. That’s how you make your money. So, in essence, Davido did justice to his part in the song.

Pastor's love affair dramatically exposed after wife caused chaos in church (photos)

Drama erupted at a Pentecostal church, God’s Greater Favour Church, yesterday Thursday June 30, 2016 when a woman stormed the service claiming that the pastor who runs the church was her husband, and he had dumped her for another woman.

Worshippers at the Nairobi church, God’s Greater Favour Church had to scamper for safety as the furious jilted woman, identified as Jane Wambui, yelled and called out the man’s name as she pelted stones at them. The preacher in question took cover and hid from the woman.

Wambui claimed that they had been married for 14 years until their marriage hit a rocky patch earlier in the year and the pastor started cheating.

She alleged that he had abdicated his duties as a father and their child had been sent away from
school due to fees arrears.
“I don’t have a job since I’m a hawker and the ‘Kanjo’ took off with my stock,” Wambui lamented in the video below as a large crowd of onlookers gathered around the scene of drama.
It took the intervention of police to calm the woman who some members of the public had tried unsuccessfully to pacify.

Press play to watch the video below. Her disgraced husband later surfaced from hiding when police landed, and the two were arrested and taken to Buruburu police station for questioning.

Watch the dramatic incident below:
