Hello lailans,
My girlfriend came visiting yesterday and we spent the day together because of the Biafra disturbance. For the past one month or so, there is something about her that i didnt understand. She traveled to her aunts place at Kwara state and since she came back, she always wears beads of different colours and I have been asking her why but she is not saying anything tangible until yesterday. She told me that its fashion.
but i dont really understand a fashion that will still be hidden under a cloth and why is she wearing 7rolls. i am scared to even touch the bead because i have heard that they may be diabolic. I asked her to remove it when we wanted to make love but she refused. I had to forget the whole thing because I really dont understand her motive or intentions anymore or who gave her the bead and for what purpose. My friend told me that women use it to trap men and take their destiny. Pls i want to know if anybody knows what it does and why girls wear this and for what purpose. thanks

A Lagos-based hotel manager, Ms Omolara Koleoso, has accused some soldiers at the Ikeja Cantonment of unlawfully detaining her for arguing with their colleague, while driving her sick child home.
She said she was detained for over 24 hours without food, adding that family members who came were not allowed to see her.
It was learnt that it took the intervention of a senior officer in the barracks before the woman was released around 8pm on Saturday.
PUNCH Metro gathered that around 4pm on Friday, Koleoso had gone to pick her daughter, who is a pupil of the Command Day Secondary School within the cantonment, after receiving a call that she was ill.
It was learnt that as she wanted to drive out of the barracks, a female soldier shut the gate and reportedly demanded that the pupil disembarked from the car and joined other students for sanitation in the school.
Attempts by the mother to convince her that the daughter was ill and needed to rest reportedly fell on deaf ears, after which an altercation ensued.
Koleoso said, “My daughter was in the school on that day at 7am for the NECO Food and Nutrition practical exam. I am an old student of the school and I have a good relationship with the management.
“My daughter later called me, saying she was feeling dizzy. It has never happened to her before, so I had to rush back to the school. I met with one of her teachers and after she was through with the practical, we left the school.
“As I drove towards the gate, a soldier – I don’t know her name but I can recognise her – closed it. She told my daughter to go back. I pleaded with her that she was ill, but she refused. When I asked why she allowed other students to go out, she became angry and we started exchanging words. She called me a bloody civilian and I told her that I deserved some respect. Another soldier begged her to let us leave, but she refused.”
Koleoso told our correspondent that four other soldiers suddenly appeared and accused her of attempting to beat an officer.
She said, “She pushed me; they said I was drunk. I said no and they ordered me into the military post. One of them, my daughter and I entered my car and I drove to the post. They locked me up in the cell and after some hours they took me out and detained me at the counter.
“I was there without food and water until around 8pm on Saturday. My mother and a retired senior police officer came, but they were not allowed to see me. It was a major that called them on the telephone and ordered that I should be released. I heard some of them say, ‘that woman did not do anything wrong, it is just a show of power’. They told me to come back by 9am on Tuesday (today) for resolution or be handed over to the police for violating barracks law,” she said.
The spokesperson, 81 Division, Lagos, Lt. Col. Benjamin Joseph, urged Koleoso to formally report the matter and promised that the command would take appropriate actions on it.
He said, “I have spoken with the woman (Koleoso) and sent her number to the commandant. The commandant will invite all the parties. It is good she can identify the soldier. Let her go back to the school and from there, we can take up our investigation.”
Soldiers and this "bloody civilian" language. If you want to show power, go to Sambisa and stop harassing citizens because you are wearing a uniform.

Former Miss Nollywood Culture and Tourism has released a statement concerning her Dethronement.. Read the story I received from her.
After our crowning, Mr Barakumo told me to work very hard that by the first 3 months into our reign, the agency will give me all my benefits. With this, I worked diligently.
I am so proud to say that I did very well with the help of my parents no money was given to me by him. Instead I gave Mr Barakumo N15, 000.00 to design two awards plaques which I'll be presenting to the King of my Community and the leader of our traditional ruling council when I paid them courtesy visit respectively.
I have always carried him along in all I do yet he keeps pestering me for money and recharge cards. I called when I wanted to unveil my pet project(the Hope Support Initiative Foundation) and he said he was very proud and happy for me. He even suggested to do all my designs and printing in Bayelsa State, saying that it is cheaper there. I sent him the money he requested for the printing and also specially invited him to the launching of my foundation, with all his expenses on me.( Transport, accommodation, feeding and miscellaneous). He pledged to donate N700, 000.00 (it is on the video tape)Bara asked me to date him I refused.
The day I asked him of my certificate as (Miss Nollywood Culture and Tourism) Mr Barakumo got so furious and threatened to dethrone me if I ever ask for the certificate again. That was when I knew he was up to something sinister.
Mr Robynz who was aware of the “Bara Saga” approached Mr. Bara and advised to settle all these issues that is responsible for the biff he is having with his queens, from the certificate to the N1million winning prize, Mr Bara took it as an unfriendly gesture, he called him a betrayal for taking sides with 'his Queens'. Mr Robynz told him that its so sad to see him defraud us. Mr Barakumo told him that it was the duty of our boyfriends or sugar daddies to buy the cars for us then he will claim that he gave us the cars after branding them, saying that this is how it is done. I now understood why he told us in camp never to have boyfriends but rather should date men whom he believes can get us the cars. So, we should go out and sell our bodies for money and that the organization has nothing to give us and that he has given us a platform for us to sell our selves.
The attitude of Mr. Bara trying to frustrate our efforts and all that we have worked for gave Robynz an opportunity to manage my foundation.
The last straw that broke the camel's back was when I was invited for a children's day party by the wife of KOLGA chiarman and I sent Bara a text to inform him because I don't want to have issues with him but he didn't reply. Then surprisingly, on the 25th night he sent me a text message asking me to suspend my trip to Bayelsa and to cancel the children's day celebration appointment, he said that I'm making the money and sharing it with Mr Robynz and that he will make sure he disgrace and dethrone me if I dare him and that I want to do what the immediate past Miss Nollywood Nigeria 2014(Queen Gwen)did and that he won’t let it happen again.
I went to Bayelsa on Thursday 26th May, 2016 with my mum, I went for a courtesy visit to the General Manager of Niger Delta Television. Immediately Mr Barakumo saw the interview on the news he became furious and told me that I want to become popular and famous like the immediate past Miss Nollywood Nigeria and that I am rude consequently, he will dethrone me.
Mr. Bara was more furious after he saw my post on facebook about the success story of the Children’s day celebration at KOLGA, Bayelsa State. That’s how he concluded to fabricate all the lies he published and that he has dethroned me. He immediately sent me all the links and blog addresses that he has published it.
THIS IS MY SIDE OF THE STORY
I HAVE SOME POSERS FOR MR BARAKUMO ODEDE.
* Since the primary objective of pageantry all over the world is charity, why then is he against my charity works and rather encouraging me to go into prostitution? We can verify by his resolve to delete all the charity works of the past Beauty Queens from the Facebook official page and website respectively, leaving a few and normal photos and newspaper publications.
* Why is he always demanding for the proceeds from his Queen's courtesy visits?
* He should come out to publish the contract documents, memorandum of understanding (MOU) with my signature stating the said rules and regulations he claimed I infringed.
* If truly he gave the winners their prizes, he should publish the prizes with photos of all 'his Queens' both past and present.
* Why did he choose to sell forms for 2017 edition barely 4 months after crowning 'his Queens' for the 2016 edition?
* Unlike the first edition of the pageant, that produced the pioneer Queen (Queen Gwen) he should come out to show evidences of auditions for 2016 contestants which I am part of.
HE SHOULD COME OUT TO REFUTE ALL I HAVE SAID ABOVE WITH EVIDENCES.
If he thinks he wants to disgrace me and drag my name to the mud, he has inadvertently succeeded in disgracing and dragging himself to the mud where he belongs, this can be seen vividly by his grammatical "bombing", which clearly reflect his personality and level of reasoning.
Mr. Barakumo Odede and the Miss Nollywood Foundation(MNF)will give an answer in the law court for deformation of character, and be prepared to come out to defend their 'claims' with evidences of all the contractual documents that I signed or retract your malicious publication about me within 24 hours with an unreserved apology which shall be published in five (5) national newspapers alongside all the blogs that published your malicious story.
Below are some photos of my charity works and courtesy visits since I was crowned.
Below are also some screen shots of our conversation for your confirmation of his personality.
"IF YOU LIVE IN A GLASS HOUSE, DON'T THROW STONES"
MR. BARAKUMO ODEDE, THE NOLLYWOOD FRAUDSTER EXPOSED BY BEAUTY QUEEN!
I called the contact phone number which was on the advert page for the Miss Nollywood 2015 / 2016 after filling the online form and making the bank registration payment. Mr Barakumo Odede who picked the call asked me to order for tickets which I will sell like other contestants which is a criteria to be a potential winner of the pageant. I then sold tickets worth #40,000 which I gave to Mr Barakumo.
One night during camping, Mr Barakumo told us all that he will interview us but it will be privately done in his room. We went in one after the other. I went in when it was my turn and MR Barakumo was behaving very funny that made me very uncomfortable in that room. Amongst other things, he asked me if I had a boyfriend, and I said yes, and he said that Queens don't have boyfriends but rich men pays for it. I left the room angrily and upset, I later found out that he asked other contestants for sex too during the one-on-one interview sessions.
On one faithful night again, Mr Bara sent me a text to meet him at the corridor, which I did. But he was not there, then I called him and he asked me to open the next room’s door, when I did, I saw him sitting on a chair with a worried look, "Boss, are you OK? I asked him and he replied “Yes, but I am tired and I need lovemaking from you". I reminded him of my boyfriend. This word got him angry and he then told me that other contestants were begging for it while he is giving it to me for free and I'm rejecting his offer. He pulled off his clothes and tried to get me down then I slapped him, struggled to get away from him and ran to my room immediately. He later sent me a text that he was sorry that he don’t know what came over him and pleaded that I shouldn't tell anyone about it.
On the grand finale, 27th December, 2015 after we have been declared winners, we were surprised to learn that crowns were borrowed from Miss Bayelsa pageant to crown us and immediately after our group photographs, the crowns were returned back to the organizers of the Miss Bayelsa pageant whose pageant was being held same day at a different venue. All the regional Queens were not crowned as a result of this. We were given just flowers and sashes.
There was no rules, there was no contract agreement for us to sign, no constitution was read to us, no certificate was given neither did we see the 1million naira star prize for the winners as promised by Bara as he is popularly called. The next day he told us to dress very good and come downstairs to the pool side, when we got there, he introduced us to a man who we latter found out was a politician. That was when it dawned on us that Bara is upto something different, we latter went back to our rooms talking about what just happened.
The next morning, Mr Bara asked for N5, 000.00, I told him that I don't have any cash on me so he begged and took my ATM card to withdraw the money. I was so shocked to receive an alert an N45, 000.00 debits out of the N50,000.00 that was in the account. He withdrew all my money, the cash that I saved for my school fees and left just N5, 000.00. When I confronted him, he pleaded that the organization will pay me back the money later and that the hotel management had asked us to leave because he couldn’t pay the complete deposit for our accommodation and that I shouldn't sell the company’s secret out.I was confused and wandered what a beauty pageant I got myself into where the organizer begs from his contestants for almost everything. The last of it was when he requested for one of my phones that owner of the one he was using just took it and there’s no way he can communicate anymore. I gave Bara my Techno T470 phone before we all left Bayelsa at the end.
After our crowning, Mr Barakumo told me to work very hard that by the first 3 months into our reign, the agency will give me all my benefits. With this, I worked diligently.

For the 35 years he served in the police, his main job was apprehending criminals, including suspected fraudsters.
In those years, Mr. Christopher Igwe, a retired Assistant Superintendent of Police, never suspected that he could one day be fleeced of his money by anyone.
That was what he told SunNewsonline that happened to him. He told the reporter that he was swindled of his N3 million retirement benefits by a man of God, the General Overseer of the Prophetic Light Ministry in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, 22-year-old Prophet Diepreye Samuel.
Igwe had been told that his life would never remain the same after an encounter with the man of God. And indeed, his life changed the very moment he encountered the cleric. The only thing, according to
Igwe, is that his life changed for the worst. He said he was swindled of his entire retirement benefits by the young Bayelsa-based miracle worker.
While in service, Igwe had hoped that he would use his retirement benefits to beef up his car business. He had started selling cars towards the end of his service.
But he told the reporter that his life took a total turn for the worst when he walked inside the prophet’s office and handed over his entire retirement benefits – N3 million – to the prophet who had told him that the cause of the setback in his car business was a result of evil manipulations in the money he used in starting the business.
Before his encounter with the young General Overseer, Igwe had started buying cars from Benin Republic and selling them in Nigeria. When the business was not moving, as he had expected, with many customers owing him, Igwe met a woman that suggested that Prophet Samuel could help him overcome the problems.
How it all began
He told the reporter:
Encounter with the prophet
When Christopher Igwe left his house that fateful day, he never knew that fate had a different thing in stock for him.
He continued:
Efforts to recover his money
Why I reported him to the church elders
Our prophet did a business with him, church says
But when the reporter contacted the church leaders, they said nothing of such ever transpired. The Prophetic Light Ministry, through the Church Secretary, Mr. Edward Ayoko, said the prophet never swindled Igwe. Mr. Ayoke confirmed that there was a deal between the prophet and Christopher Igwe, but he denied knowledge of the N3 million, as being claimed by Mr. Igwe.
Ayoko said:
In those years, Mr. Christopher Igwe, a retired Assistant Superintendent of Police, never suspected that he could one day be fleeced of his money by anyone.
That was what he told SunNewsonline that happened to him. He told the reporter that he was swindled of his N3 million retirement benefits by a man of God, the General Overseer of the Prophetic Light Ministry in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, 22-year-old Prophet Diepreye Samuel.

“Before and after my retirement from the Nigerian Police Force, as an ASP after putting good 35 years to serve my fatherland, I looked at myself and said, since I am still strong and healthy, it will not be good for me to just retire home. I said I must look for some business to sustain me and my family. So, I began to do some buying and selling; I would travel to Cotonou in Benin Republic and buy cars, which I was selling here in Nigeria, precisely in Yenagoa. That was my last place of assignment. But I discovered that my business was not moving fine. I discovered that almost all the people that bought from me either refused to pay or did not have the means to pay back. That kept on disturbing me until sometime in 2015.
“On that day, I was on my own. I never knew this woman from Adam. But she walked up to me and told me that she had seen what I was going through and that she had been following me up in prayers. The woman told me that the cause of my dwindling business was not ordinary but spiritual. She told me exactly what I was passing through in my business and I marvelled because I never knew her. It was during our discussion that she told me of a popular prophet, who had a solution to all my problems. I was happy and even gave her money.
“After that, she introduced me to Prophet Samuel and the first day I met with him, he prophesied exactly what I was passing through and it all came out to be true. I said yes, that my problem was that my creditors had refused to pay back and it was affecting my business.”
Encounter with the prophet
When Christopher Igwe left his house that fateful day, he never knew that fate had a different thing in stock for him.
He continued:
“In February last year, I was able to meet with Prophet Samuel on a Tuesday, because that is the only day he meets with people for counselling. When he saw me, he repeated the same prophecy he made some time ago and I told him that all he had said was correct, that it was exactly what I was facing in my business. He then told me that the money I used in the business was infected by the devil, and that I needed to purify my seed money. I said ok. It was during this discussion that I opened up to him and told him I was expecting a very huge sum of money, as my retirement benefits. He said I should let him know as soon as the money arrived. Then few weeks after the counselling, the money came.
“By March, I went back to him and told him that the money had come. But to my greatest surprise, he asked me to go to the bank and withdraw the money. He said I should bring the money to him so that he would pray over it and cast out the devil that made the money useless for me. I said, ‘Prophet, I have about N2000 here with me, can I bring it so that you pray over it as a point of contact to the one in the bank?’ He said no, that he needed the entire money. I left and went to the bank. While still in the bank, the prophet kept calling me. He called me twice and I told him on each occasion that I was still in the bank.
“My friend who manages my account in the bank became worried that I came to withdraw all my retirement benefits the same day and was carrying everything in a cellophane bag. He insisted that it was not safe for me to be carrying such amount and going along the road. But I told him I transacted a business and my partner wanted the money in cash. He then asked me to get the person’s account number so that he could transfer the money, stressing that there was too much security risk in what I had gone to do. But I stood my ground.
“At that point, he had no option but to yield to my pressure, and I withdrew the N3 million in my account and left. Even my wife posed another challenge when I told her of what I wanted to do. She said I should not try it because I barely knew the man of God. But since she was not in Yenagoa with me, her own resistance was not as strong as that of my banker friend.
“When I withdrew the money, I went straight to Prophet Samuel and gave him the money. He looked at me and told me to go and that he would pray over the money for seven days. He said after seven days, he must have cast out the demons from the money, and it would be ready for business. He promised to call me.
“I left innocently, without any premonition of any evil. I trusted him because he told me exactly what my problem was and appeared more than real to me. When I went home, I waited for seven days. Finally the seven days came, but he did not call me. The eighth day came and yet no call from him. Then, on the ninth day, I went back to him.
When I met the prophet and demanded for my money to enable me travel to Benin Republic to buy some goods, believing that he must have cast out the demons from the money, he wasn’t around, but he asked me to wait. When he returned, he asked if I had been paying my tithes, but I told him that I am a Roman Catholic and in my church, we don’t take the payment of tithe so seriously. He said I would have to pay my tithe. I told him I would do that after my trip. I asked him how much tithe I would pay, and he told me N300, 000. I said no problem. I was still anxiously waiting for my money. But he discharged me that day and I went home.
“Before then, there was this shop I had in the market at a very strategic location, which I believed that I would pay for when the money matured. But due to the fact that the money got trapped with the prophet, I lost the shop. I kept going to Prophet Samuel every Tuesday. But he later started avoiding me. He was using his security men and other church workers to stop me from seeing him.
“One day, I went home dejected and wept profusely. I came looking for a solution to my little problem and lost all and the problem got worse. I lost all my benefits after serving Nigeria for good 35 years. While I was still crying, I picked my phone and sent him a text message that one day, he would wake up and see a dead body on his altar. He merely replied, ok. I then sent him a text again that since he insisted on eating my sweat after 35 years, that he should be ready to tell the world how and why a dead body was found on his altar. At that moment, he became apprehensive. One day, I got an alert and discovered that he had sent N2 million to my account. I went back to him and told him, look, my money was N3 million but what I saw here is N2 million. He said he was aware, and that he would give me the balance after my return from Benin Republic. So, I travelled and came back.
“When I returned, I went back to him. It was on a Sunday, and immediately he saw me, he started the same abracadabra and said he saw me in the spirit that I travelled for business and that I bought three cars and that I had sold them. But I interrupted him and said I had not sold anything. After the church service, I went back to him and begged him to give me the balance so that I could feed and pay my children’s school fees since I had used all the N2 million to buy goods and there was nothing left on me. But he was not bothered. At that time, I knew things were getting out of hand.
Efforts to recover his money
“When I discovered he was not even perturbed by my predicaments, I went to the Secretary of the church, who is also a retired policeman and narrated my ordeal with the prophet to him. He was shocked and immediately took me to the father of the prophet. Then both of them took me to the prophet’s office. His father asked him why he held my money and refused to pay and why he insisted that I should pay my tithe to him. At that point, he said he knew he owed me but that he would pay back. But I was angry and asked him if we did any business together. I said all I needed was my N1million and nothing more.
“After a few deliberations with his father and the church scribe, they asked me to excuse them. I went outside and waited but it was getting late and the car I drove to the place was one of the cars I newly imported into the country. Since it was getting dark, I left. The next day, the church secretary called me and gave me N100, 000. He told me the money was made possible because his father insisted and collected the money from the Sunday offertory for the day. I collected the money, thinking they had resolved to pay me in instalment for nine days. To my greatest shock, that was the last time they paid me.
“After two weeks, I went back to them and complained about my predicaments on how to pay my children’s school fees and he gave me N68, 000. When my in-law died, I went to him again and met him already about to enter his car. I blocked him and told him if he did not give me my money today, that all hell would be let loose. When he discovered I was raising my voice, he calmed me down and told me that he had directed the church treasurer to give me my money. I thought it was true and I allowed him. He quickly entered his car and zoomed off.
“After waiting for a while, they came with N80, 000 and I tried to reject it. But since I could not see Prophet Samuel anywhere, I collected it. Then when my landlord came asking for his rent, I went back to them and told them that I needed the money. Then they released N100, 000 again for me. Since then, till date, they have refused to even see me anywhere near the church.
Why I reported him to the church elders
“When all efforts to get my money failed, I was left with no option but to let the cat out of the bag. I decided to write officially to the church elders, complaining that the prophet duped me. I also wrote to other church leaders. Then I wrote on papers and I pasted them on the walls of the church, alerting church members to what their prophet had done to me. But each time I came around, I discovered that whenever I pasted the public notice, they were always on ground to remove it. I then decided to leave the church premises and extend it to the streets. But they still removed all the public notices I kept there.
“At that point, I tried to go to a popular television outfit to tell the world my experience, but I could not afford the type of money they asked me to pay. I then decided to come to The Sun newspaper because I have been reading the newspaper and have always come across such stories. I am also making efforts to reach the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the matter.”
Igwe.
Ayoko said:
“I am not aware of any N3 million deal between the man and the prophet. What I’m aware of, as the man himself informed me, is a case of N650, 000, which the man said our prophet owed him. I intervened and we have paid the man a total of N330, 000 cash and the records are with me. What remains of his money to the best of my knowledge is the sum of N320, 000 but he has not come to collect the money since this year. He has called neither the prophet nor myself, concerning his balance. I was embarrassed when his wife sent me a stinker of a text message, telling me that my prophet is a fraudster, and that he defrauded her husband.
“All I want to say is that his balance of N320, 000 has been ready with us. He may come to collect it any time and any day that he chooses.”

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has distanced himself from the posters bearing the image of the Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2019 presidential election, pasted in some parts of Owerri, the state capital.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Sam Onwuemeodo, the governor said the poster saga was another act of mischief by elements cowed by what he had achieved as governor of Imo State and what he represents in the politics of the South-East and Nigeria in general.

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Sam Onwuemeodo, the governor said the poster saga was another act of mischief by elements cowed by what he had achieved as governor of Imo State and what he represents in the politics of the South-East and Nigeria in general.
“Those behind this mischief first invaded the social media with the fake posters andThe statement said it was difficult to tell what the characters behind the posters wanted to achieve. O n w u e m e o d o averred that it seemed the mischief makers’ only intention was to sow seeds of discord in the relationship existing between President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Okorocha.
when they discovered that the comments by decent men and women had all doubted the source and the genuineness of the posters, they decided to paste them in Abuja”, the statement read in part.
Continuing he said:
“Interestingly, Governor Okorocha has for some times now been reported to have told those willing to hear that he won’t run for the 2019 presidential election because of President Buhari. By repeatedly saying that, he succeeded in disarming the little minds who had used that issue to blackmail him.
And now they have begun to publish Okorocha being the Vice-Presidential running mate to Governor Shettima.”Noting that the poster plot cannot fly, Onwuemeodo, maintained that Governor Rochas Okorocha is not known for double-standard.
